Atlas Cringed

I disagree with Ayn Rand on a lot of things. On the other hand, I agree with her on most.

In her novel, Atlas Shrugged, capitalism is brought to its knees when unproductive members of society use law to cripple the strong, and maintain the weak. Reseult: More people want to be weak than strong. Business and creativity collapse.

Obama’s 825 Billion dollar package…

That amount of money could translate to :

$22,000 given to every person in America whom is below the poverty line.

$2700 tax cut for every working person.

$275,000 to every business in the US.

It could and will also mean, that on average, American households will take on about $6500 in additional tax burden.

Things are about to get a lot worse than they needed to be, folks. I’m sorry.  This is precisely how to destimulate the economy.

This would also cause inflation. This is sort of a ‘back-filling’ like electricity or liquids. If the money is available then more money can be charged for a widget. The tax burden is important too. This money will not make jobs, and if it fails the tax burden will become magnified by only those who pay. Tax cuts to businesses is the only way to stimulate the production of jobs at this point. I have no idea where people come up with this stimulus crap to help the economy. It would be like borrowing from a credit card to help your cash flow. I am sure everyone reading this understands that is bad.

From what I understand, this money is going to banks, so there’ll be more lending. Like you said: Hyperinflation. Very Carteresk….

It seems, but surely cannot be true that:

Every president and congressman gets to pass laws that create debt lasting far, far beyond their terms.

There seems to be a consensus growing on the blogs and internet forums that the US is heading for massive inflation, which will further destroy the US economy. I wonder if congress and Obama have heard about this new thing called the “internet”. Sadly though, they would probably just surf over to Paul Krugmans blog for economic advice…..
