The Democrats shoot themselves in the foot once again

I’ve said it before. The Democrats had this thing in the bag. All they had to do was leave it alone, let the media pound George Bush, then they could take the queen to the prom.

But they just couldn’t leave it be–because Sarah Palin scared them. They were blind-sided by the Palin choice. Immediately, the trusty media went to work, and found “dirt”. Palin’s 17 years old daughter is pregnant. Wow.

The Democrats would applaud a stat-building abortion, but they can’t stand the thought of a family staying together under tough circumstances, a young man and woman trying to make things work while knuckle-headed journalists shove microphones in their faces.

They’ve hurt themselves. Their shipped shuddered in the water, run aground in seas they thought properly and completely mapped. They just didn’t see Palin. They lashed out like children–and this time the media hurt the Democrat cause. They look childish, and it’s irritating to the average mom. Palin seems too genuine and knowledgeable for this type of thing to work. She’s too sharp. I’m not engaging in wishful observations here. She’s a smart lady.

Predictive Analysis: Within one month, John McCain will move ahead of Barack Obama in the polls.

Ironic, isn’t it? The American people are smarter than the Democratic Party gives them credit for. It’s the same principles that allowed Kerry to blew what should have been the easiest win over an incumbent President in the history of the United States. You don’t win elections by campaigning based on the other guy’s shortcomings, and the more you rail a candidate that comes across as genuine to the American people, the more popular that candidate gets.

Do you conservatives ever critique anything your party does – or is everything hunky dory? If Obama had picked a milf with no qualifications you guys would be all over that like flies on elephant dung.

In regards to your article, I don’t see how Palin’s daughters pregnancy is going to help or hurt her. I do however think it’s ironic considering that Palin’s sexual education plan for Alaskan schools preached abstinence only.

I have plenty of critiques on the Bush administration. But all-in-all, I much more agree with the Republican Party’s line, else I wouldn’t be a Republican.

I never stated that Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy would hurt or help. I said that the media’s response has left a bad taste in some people’s mouths, and I think many of them are females who would have voted for Obama. Check the numbers since the anouncement. Obama’s lead has shrunk.

As for her sexual education plan teaching abstinence only, what’s your point? Do you think she secretly wanted her daughter to get pregnant while telling others to wait until marriage? Should she tell her daughter to drink and drive too, because kids will be kids?

You’re missing the point. If Obama picked someone with no Washington experience it would be completely different than McCain doing it. Obama has next to no experience himself. McCain has the luxury of being able to pick someone like Palin because he himself has decades of experience. It may have hurt his experience attacks against Obama, but of course McCain picking someone inexperienced is much different than Obama doing the same.

All I’m saying is if she taught her daughter about contraception in tandem with abstinence maybe she wouldn’t have gotten knocked up. Clearly abstinence only education does not work.

I was liking your point about how the Repubs would jump all over the Obama campaign if they had selected a similar VP, but where you fall into Lowest-Common-Denominator psychology is when you say she should have taught her daughter how to use contraception.

Come on, the girl’s 17. You think if some guy like Magus or I have sex with your daughter at 17 we are going to do everything right? The girl got pregnant, her mom’s pretty set, and she’s probably going to have a great life, just like every other well-set pregnant 17 year old has for the last 3000 years.

What kind of role modeling do you recommend? Magus and I are a couple of Christian conservative types, and even we have had a bunch of sex and gotten girls pregnant.

    We’re still pretty decent guys.

How could that sway your vote or opinion of Palin?

OK, so Barack Obama likes to smoke cigarettes, and so does George Bush. Both in secret, of course. Does that affect my opinion of either of them in a negative way, even though I don’t smoke?

If you set the bar too high for politicians, you guarantee that nobody can ever ascend to office.

Lol nice brag post about getting girls pregnant. Maybe you Christian/Conservative types should practice what you preach.

I’ve lingered on this blog for too longs things are getting weird…. you two dudes have fun.

Christians can’t get girls pregnant? Did the stork drop you off or were you hatched?

Yes, you have lingered too long.

My thoughts on Sarah Palin as being a qualified VP.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense! Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with the VP? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with the VP! It does not make sense! Look at me. I’m talkin’ about Chewbacca! Does that make sense?
