Update II on puppy video

Last night I requested that “Dave Motari” add me as a friend to his Myspace page. It was quite late, but nonetheless, I was added within 30 minutes or so. When I went to the page, and read the blog entries, it was so obvious to me that it was a fake. The public admissions of guilt, the lukewarm commentary on his being in trouble with his Sergeant Major.

There are several photo of various soldiers and such, some appearing to be engaged in the typical frat-boy activities of the age group that applies. There is one photo of three Iraqi (I assume) children, one cowering, two others holding toy guns to his head and smiling. There is a comment below by the page’s owner saying that they (the soldiers) asked the boys to pose for the photo. He say that the kids were funny….Come on, this is fake. This is propaganda. No one would put those photos up, and allow the comments that were being posted to be there; comments calling for Motari’s death and so forth. Also, the USMC is allegedly investigating the incident, and I can assure you, that if criminal charges are being contemplated, Motari has a military lawyer who would have advised him to remove such things from the Internet.

Also, one of the photos shows Jessica Simpson kissing a soldier on the cheek. The owner’s comments say that the photo is of him (David Motari), with Jessica Simpson. However if you look closely at the pics, the name-tag on the soldier’s uniform does not appear to be Motari.

I posted a comment, and it should be noted that almost all of the comments were hateful and most quite ridiculous. If this were Motari’s page he would not have allowed the comments in view of the trouble he could be in. The page itself was very sparse, indicating that it had just been created. The page’s creator says that his old account got hacked so he had to make a new one. Sure….

After my comment, telling everyone that the page was fake, I was removed from the page’s friends list.

Here are the ridiculous photos. If you cannot see the overt propaganda here, I feel sorry…

It’s good to see someone who is looking at this w/their brain. I agree. I can’t imagine that the Facebook page is authentic, especially if your “friendship” was revoked for pointing out the discrepancies.

At this time, there is no telling if the video was faked or Motari really is some whacko; but it is a stench in the nostrils of the entire military force and taints the men and women who serve with dignity, risking their lives for their oaths.

Whether or not you believe in the war in Iraq, our troops are risking their lives because of an oath of allegiance they swore to our country. Whoever is in that video (it sure appears to be Motari per various news media’s cross referencing) and whether it is real or fake, it has harmed our country and our military.

Since the Marine lives here locally in Monroe, WA the local news went to his family’s home…the family says they have been getting “death threats”…however, that did not stop the local news media from showing the license plate of the car parked at the home, Washington State tag#912-RFZ.

The MySpace page is clearly a hoax.

Hi, I just came across this story just searching on the internet for random crap. This sounds really interesting but I’m not sure I completely understand what happened. Can you please explain more about it?

Even if it were not fake it would be a very small minority of our valiant men and women that serve in the military. If it is true, if, then use the law to prosecute and move on. What more can be said?

David Motari was kicked out of the Marine Corps after the Corps investigated the original video. No information was released as to if the video was real, if the puppy was alive, or if it died after Motari threw it.

So, what we have is things working just the way liberal, military-hating, leftist, scumbag, morally lazy, dunder heads didn’t think it would: Rule of Law prevailed. Not blogosphere Mob Rule.

Like I said before, even if the video were faked by Motari, he should have been severely disciplined. You should never give your enemies ammunition, which is exactly what he did. He payed the price. Getting kicked out of the military in a time of war is a very bad thing to have on your record.

Most disturbing to me is not the video. It was the fact that there are people in my own country, the country I’m sworn to serve and die for to defend its way fo life, that took this video as an opportunity to spout thier hatred for America and George Bush. They sounded just like Islamist zealots to me, only they’re completely secular. I’ve not, in the 6 years of this Iraq War, seen even close to this kind of outrage over the deaths of human soldiers as a result of Iranian designed and supplied IEDs, American Soldier’s Heads cut off, they’re bodies burned, American contractors doing escort missions killed, maimed, and their burned corpes strung from bridges for all the world to see. Journalists’ heads cut off on videos as they scream, blood spraying their executioners. Barely a peep from the Left. Cowards.

The response to these videos all over blogs and the news made me fear for my country more than any other thing I did on this blog. I knew I’d lost my culture war even then, but decided to conduct a fighting retrograde before completely withdrawing a few weeks ago.

This puppy video line of blogs of mine actually made CNN’s top blog list. People were very interested in it, as they always seem to be with dog stories.
